February 11, 2011 – CHICAGO – The Chicago Tribune is endorsing Harry Osterman for 48th Ward Alderman in the February 22nd municipal election.
Upon learning of the endorsement Osterman stated, “As one of the most widely read papers in the Chicagoland area, I am extremely honored to receive the Chicago Tribune’s endorsement. The Tribune emphasizes and demands accountability, responsibility and integrity from city officials. I am honored that they choose me as the best candidate to represent the 48th Ward, and I will work every day to improve the quality of life for every resident of the 48th Ward.”
The Chicago Tribune had this to say about Harry: “State Rep. Harry Osterman knows how to build coalitions to advance his thoughtful agenda, be it immigrant rights, affordable housing or crime prevention. The son of the late Ald. Kathy Osterman has lifelong ties to the Edgewater community. He has shown some political independence, voting against the state income tax increase.”
